Increase Stamina - Forget the Naps
Have you been called a napper? Know what that is? It's what Ben Stiller's character in the movie "Duplex" was accused of. Remember it, he was attempting to write a book, but the lady upstairs would not let him. He began to take naps, because she wouldn't let him get any sleep at night. So, he turned into a regular napper.
When I think of the people who take naps, I picture small children or old folks. The rest of us don't usually take siestas. And, if we do, we're thought of as lazy or depressed. Of course, you're probably neither of these. You work very hard and consider yourself generally happy. Guess what, I know what the problem is. You need to increase stamina levels. Your body needs just a little more 'pep'.
Food, Exercise and Stamina
A good example of someone needing to increase stamina levels is my teenage daughter. She's got no get-up-and-go. I can tell you why. First, she doesn't eat right. Second, she doesn't exercise regularly. This is a huge problem. Look at most Americans. They're lunching at Burger King. Not a promising plan. Foods that are high in fat will not just cause you to resemble an inflated balloon, but they will make you feel tired as well. The reason for this is that your body is not getting all the nutrients it needs to function and maintain endurance. We all need to have the proper vitamins and minerals on a daily basis. When our bodies do not get them, they shut down. Eating a healthy and balanced diet will increase stamina.
Additionally, exercise will increase your energy levels. Even though it's not obvious, a steady fitness program won't slow you down or wear you out. In fact, the opposite will happen. Try a vigorous cardio workout to increase stamina. You will not be sorry.
Supplements and Stamina
Supplements are a good idea as well. Consider investing some money into quality supplements that are proven to increase stamina. Multivitamins should not be overlooked, they're a wonderful addition to anyone's day. What I did was add whey protein shakes to my daily diet, which supplies my muscles with essential proteins. Not only does this increase stamina, but it also repairs muscles after strenuous workouts.
It's time to live life to the fullest. Naps are for infants and the elderly.
